Ecointegral, in partnership with Endesa Energía S.A., carried out the energy audit of Club Deportivo La Santa Sport, located in the north of the island of Lanzarote. This is a hotel for sports tourism, with top-flight facilities including athletics tracks, several indoor heated sports halls, Olympic-size and recreational pools, a private gym and an outdoor sports centre, as well as a large apartment complex for accommodation and various restaurants.
The centre has a complex system of energy supply and climate control. Propane gas is used for DHW production, laundry supply and restaurants. Meanwhile, an electric cogeneration system with heat recovery, solar thermal and geothermal support is used for the production of domestic hot water, the climate control of the sports halls, the apartments and, of course, the various pools across the complex.
As part of the services provided, a full review of the energy consumption installations was carried out, as well as the construction solutions designed for the buildings in the complex, rounding off the process with the preparation of various proposals for improving the efficiency of the installations analysed, an optimisation of the energy supply contracts and the predesign of various self-sufficient solar power plants.
