REE. Adaptation of Corralejo substation to 66 kV – Playa Blanca (Fuerteventura)

The project, which was part of REE’s asset upgrade programme, consisted of the detailed engineering of modifications that included civil engineering works, supply works, electromechanical assembly, auxiliary installations, integration of protection systems, and control of new equipment at the substation on the island.

This involved the installation of a series of HV equipment (voltage transformers and replacement of the current transformers on one of the output lines), as well as all the auxiliary control and protection systems associated with said equipment and adaptations in the control room shared by the Spanish Electricity Grid and Endesa.
