Proyect INDUSTR-IA

The INDUSTR-IA project aims to develop new solutions based on Artificial Intelligence for the efficiency and flexibility of industrial production.

Goals

The INDUSTR-IA project will mark a milestone in addressing the challenges that influence industrial competitiveness, including the energy vector and energy flexibility markets, with the aim of optimizing cost and production efficiency. To this end, new Artificial Intelligence models will be explored, intended to be generic models for global solutions, such as IT technological frameworks. At the same time, the project aims to achieve maximum acceptance through explainable and simple Artificial Intelligence, along with the added value of accessible simulation tools such as digital twins.

The overall objective of INDUSTR-IA is to conduct research in the area of production systems organization to develop a series of innovative digital solutions based on Artificial Intelligence technologies for prediction, specifically through the research and development of an operational decision-support solution that uses real-time information and AI to improve production efficiency. Specifically, the holistic-technological integration of IoT in industrial use cases, through new AI research into real-time dynamic resequencing, predictive maintenance, zero-defect manufacturing, digital twins, and efficient energy management.

Ecointegral-Grupo IDP is participating in the project by leading work package 2 on Digital Twin Software Design, to develop and provide an intelligent digital twin web platform tailored to the manufacturing industry that enables virtual representation of production systems, simulations based on algorithms developed by the UPC, and integration with energy management and manufacturing execution (OE2) systems.
