ECOINTEGRAL WILL DEVELOP THE PROJECT FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A WIND PARK IN THE GRANADILLA DESALINATION STATION (TENERIFE)

The Management of the Tenerife Island Water Council (CIATF) has awarded Ecointegral IDP the project for the implementation of a wind farm in the area of the Mar de Granadilla Water Desalination Station (EDAM), located in the Abona Territorial System , Tenerife.

The main objective of this project is to evaluate the technical and environmental feasibility and define the necessary actions for the installation of a wind farm that supplies energy to the desalination station, taking advantage of the significant wind potential of the area. This infrastructure, characterized by its high energy consumption, will benefit from a solution that will reduce its dependence on conventional energy sources and its carbon footprint.

The initiative is part of the objectives of the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC) 2021-2030, which establishes that renewable energies must represent 42% of final energy consumption by 2030. The installation of the wind farm will contribute to decarbonization of a critical facility for the island, aligning with the energy sustainability goals of Spain and the European Union.

Ecointegral IDP, with a solid track record in the development of renewable energy projects, will undertake the preparation of alternative studies, the construction project and the environmental impact analysis. In addition, it will guarantee that the design meets the highest regulatory and technical standards, laying the foundations for the future implementation of the wind farm.

With this new project, Ecointegral IDP reaffirms its commitment to environmental and energy sustainability, consolidating itself as a benchmark in the implementation of innovative solutions in renewable energy and in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
