This project is an example of the power distribution works carried out in 2019 and involved relocating and renovating an important transformer substation and its corresponding low voltage lines in a densely populated urban area.
Project goals included improving quality, safety and reliability.
The plan involved the relocation and extension of a distribution centre consisting of four 630 kVA transformers, which were replaced by four new 1000 KVA transformers.
With this improvement, quality supply was guaranteed for existing customers at the time and in the future.
These modifications made the existing low voltage configuration obsolete. To solve this, the plan was made for twenty-three new low voltage lines with 240 mm2 conductors along new ducting. These new lines fed low- and high-power commercial premises, as well as three residential blocks and a hotel.
These new infrastructures required works to ensure access to all the supplies involved in the planned actions.
