Ecointegral, which has more than 20 years of experience in the sector, has recently completed the repowering project of a wind farm dating from the mid-90s of the last century. The main features of the modification have been the replacement of the current 46 generators by only 8 more efficient machines, maintaining the total power of the farm at almost 35 MW but significantly increasing the expected energy to be obtained (MWh). This project has also required the updating and adaptation of the evacuation, maintenance and operation facilities, as well as the administrative processing of the necessary authorisations. The repowering of the oldest wind farms is, without doubt, a very important step in the process of decarbonisation of the energy sector and Ecointegral has the necessary skills and experience to obtain optimum results in wind repowering projects.
