10 sty ECOINTEGRAL WILL DEVELOP THE PROJECT FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A WIND FARM IN THE GRANADILLA DESALINATION PLANT (TENERIFE)
The Management of the Tenerife Island Water Council (CIATF) has awarded Ecointegral IDP the project for the implementation of a wind farm in the area of the Mar de Granadilla Water Desalination Plant (EDAM), located in the Territorial System of Abona, Tenerife.
The main objective of this project is to evaluate the technical and environmental viability and define the actions necessary for the installation of a wind farm that supplies energy to the desalination plant, taking advantage of the significant wind potential of the area. This infrastructure, characterized by its high energy consumption, will benefit from a solution that will reduce its dependence on conventional energy sources and its carbon footprint.
The initiative is part of the objectives of the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC) 2021-2030, which establishes that renewable energies must represent 42% of final energy consumption by 2030. The installation of the wind farm will contribute to the decarbonisation of a critical facility for the island, aligning with the energy sustainability goals of Spain and the European Union.
Ecointegral IDP, with a solid track record in the development of renewable energy projects, will undertake the preparation of the alternative studies, the construction project and the environmental impact analysis. In addition, it will ensure that the design complies with the highest regulatory and technical standards, laying the foundations for the future implementation of the wind farm.
With this new project, Ecointegral IDP reaffirms its commitment to environmental and energy sustainability, consolidating itself as a benchmark in the implementation of innovative solutions in renewable energies and in the transition towards a low-carbon economy.
